We agree with all the letters of applying the existing NCOD Design Guidelines that have been adopted into the
UDC, Section 38.10.010 (B) and Section 38.100.050 (A).
What really is concerning is the lack of parking for the Guthrie.
Do the math, the Guthrie offers studio, one, two, three bedroom units and not enough parking. That’s a lot of
people with trucks, cars, boats, RVs you name it this is a recreational town. Consequently this established
neighborhood including an elementary school must bear the burden of all the on street parking, similar to North
Willson.
This is not only a congestion problem but a safety concern.
More importantly the Guthrie will change the character historically, architecturally and livability of this established
neighborhood.
The Guthrie must be rejected we can NOT allow this ugly building to destroy this neighborhood.
