To whom it may concern,
I am writing in strong opposition to the approval of the four-story high-rise at N. 5th andVillard, called "the Guthrie". As a home-owner and neighbor to this project I and my
neighbors strongly oppose this project. There are a number of key violations in this project.1) the commission DENIED this project in July 2024
2) The design fails to integrate with the neighborhood (City Code 38.230.100.A.7)3) The scale and mass violate NCOD standards (City Code 38.230.100A.5.c)
4) The traffic study IGNORED critical failures at nearby intersections, jeopardizing anelementary school neighborhood
5) City Code 38.340.120.D.3 requires a two-year stay on demolition after denial - this wasALSO IGNORED.
Please consider the needs of the our neighborhood and stop the Guthrie project.Sincerely,
