Dear Mayor Cunningham and Bozeman City Commissioners:
City residents really don't have any real footing to stand on when facing the City and
Developers. The Codes are written in favor of the Developers. If the City rejects a project, theDeveloper can sue, and the citizen input be damned.
The resident's comments seem to be lightly regarded by the planning board. People are asking
for the charm of their neighborhood to remain as the suggested project allows for a changingpopulation with limited parking and more traffic.
I know this firsthand because our neighbors and we tried to reject Canyon Gate, which now
has signs posted with PARCELS FOR SALE (what is up with that?).
Developers are having a field day overbuilding in Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley.
It's time to listen to the PEOPLE who live here.
Sincerely,Thomas E. Barrett
