There are so many problems with this structure in thisneighborhood. As it is proposed, the Guthrie does not fit in this neighborhood one bit: it is too massive, too high, and design-wise out-of-synch with, and inappropriate in, this neighborhoodof small homes. Also, crucially, the staff members who approved the design mistakenly misinterpreted the NCOD and its language to be optional rather than regulatory andobligatory. Staff do not seem to understand the power of the NCOD as a tool for community and neighborhood input: the NCOD is Bozeman residents' way to have a say in what happensin their own neighborhoods. Surely the commission understands the purpose, language, and power of our NCODs. Finally and very importantly, there are problems with the traffic studywhich does not recognize the problematic intersections in this elementary school neighborhood. Surely the desires of a developer to create yet another massive and ill-suitedbuilding which will mar yet another Bozeman neighborhood should not jeopardize the lives of our elementary school children. Please support the Guthrie appeal and override staff's ill-informed conclusion about the Guthrie. Thank you. Sincerely,Kiki Legh Rydell
