Dear City of Commission, My name is Dr. Sean Kershaw, and I proudly reside in the Northeast Neighborhood of our beautiful and beloved Bozeman. I am enthusiastically reaching out on behalf of our dear neighbors and friends, Morgan Taylor and Guy Alsentzer. After hearing their case, I fully support their sidewalk variance request, in part because the installation of this sidewalk would effectively demolish all of the mature old-growth vegetation that they have carefully attended to cultivating all these years. Further, given its non-conforming character, I contend it would have very little (if anything) to offer in the way of enhancing our neighborhood. Additionally, building this sidewalk would be a serious misallocation of funds that could otherwise be used for more important projects in our community. In sum, it is hard to imagine how adding a brand new 130’ sidewalk essentially to nowhere would mirror anything close to a meaningful contribution to our neighborhood. Thus, it seems to me that the glaring costs of inserting this sidewalk severely outweigh any potential benefits. Thank you very much for your time, and we appreciate everything you do for our city and community. Kindly, Sean
