Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. I am writing to request that you deny the developer's application to change the project to "mixed storefront," which will enable them to cut down the mature trees in the boulevard there. Bozeman's Landscape Design Policy states that mature trees "may also contribute to the historic landscape and should be preserved.” Our Streetscape Policy encourages maintenance of the character of the streetscape. These trees provide beauty and shade and mitigate the effects of climate change. This developer has a history of cutting down mature trees, replacing them with immature saplings, and then maintaining the saplings poorly. Look at the wrecks of the trees at One11 to get a sense of the developer's dedication to new trees. Sixmature, majestic Engelmann spruce once stood there; they were replaced by 6 saplings, A year or 2 later, one of those is gone, another has had its top removed, and the others do not seem to be thriving. Please do not allow this developer to do this again. We need our urban forest. Mike Herring313 N Grand
