Hello! My name is Erin. I'm a second-year student at Montana State, studying professional chemistry. I am also very
invested in the environment, especially in the beautiful place we get to live in. I have been reading here and there
about the Urban Forestry Management Plan and wanted to know more about what I can do to support their
initiative. In their management plan document, they frequently stress needing to make this project as cost-effective
as possible. I'm wondering, why does there not seem to be enough funding for this project? I am concerned about
the city sprawl in Bozeman and feel passionately that planting more trees in urban environments can do a lot to
build community, combat climate change, decrease the negative impacts of rapid development, and make a more
beautiful and environmentally friendly city. Why, then, is the project not being adaquately funded? And if this
project has been active since 2016, where are the trees in my neighborhood?
