Hello, As everyone is aware, Bozeman is experiencing rapid growth and I do not think that will slow down anytime soon. I support many of the new development regulations that allow reduced parking, which as a developer I can attest is one of the largest line items in our budget, whether it’s an allocation of expensive land or structured parking. However, the city needs to then be able to provide “car-less” lifestyles with transit options, otherwise you’re just squeezing 100 cars into 50 stalls and it angers the neighborhood and residents soon move to other housing options. Longer term, I would really encourage the city to set aside “transit corridors” as the city expands to allow for future light rail/rapid buses. It’s much easier to do upfront than years from now.
