While improvements have been made to consider community input, thework is not done. Is it not feasible to pause this for more critical work, placing it on the same time line as therevised UDC? The following points support further work; 1. Neighborhood meetings have asked for a drawing of what the downtown core would look like, under currentguidelines. This seems more than fair- as it has been nearly impossible to anticipate the vision the planners and codeare promoting. This should be done asap. 2. Inequity. It is increasing every day. We can do better the tiny boxes, with no sheds, no parking, no place for abike. People who work here are being given are far lower standard of living that the more affluent. This will onlyincrease crime, homelessness, and weaken the community. 3. Research should be done into private public partnerships. Bozeman now has alot of wealth. Lets look into usingassets we have, rather than believing developers are motivated to help solve this. A great example is Homewise inSanta Fe, NM. 4. There are tools that have not been considered. Specifically, cash in lieu of water rights. This is one sure way tolook 2 identified problems in the face. This has been proposed, it needs serious consideration. 5. STRs have to be reviewed again. We all know this. And we have a parking crisis. Height with no parking willultimately reduce downtown visitors. All in all, you have invested alot in engagement. Hold this longer and finish the hard work of looking for allsolutions, rather than just editing what you have. We must address this. Taxpayers won’t fund fire and police, graffiti and homelessness are increasing, and the city based a negative budget. There is endless data that we need tochange our approach. But most of all, I want my neighbors to be able to bike, fish, ski. Be Montanas. Not be a underclass, because wethought they should live in dorm rooms in high rises down town. Lets be better than that. Colleen Keller
