Hello, I am a current resident in Bozeman and it has come to my attention that tonight's city commission is discussing an issue that is important to not only myself, but my communitywithin town. Affordable housing has been at the forefront of every conversation I have had within the past 5 years. There are communities of people having to live in their campers, tents, cars, etc. and it seems that the city has done nothing to combat the rising costs of housing that is forcing people to live a substandard life. With the introduction of taller buildings into Bozeman, the city commission needs to ensurethis housing is affordable for those who work and live in Bozeman. I have lived in mountain cities where there are high rise apartments with rent so high only the wealthy are able to affordthe units. If you intend to allow high rise buildings, there needs to be rent caps. The land developers are pricing people out of town and the infrastructure doesn't allow for a blue-collarhigh school educated person to afford to live and work in town. As a concerned citizen, I hope you take my comment to heart and evaluate affordable housing in our area. Please do not allow developers to ruin the skyline with housing that isunaffordable for Bozeman folk. Sincerely, Mattie
