Dear Commissioners, Please reject the Affordable Housing Ordinance as written.
Scale back the soaring building heights, especially in existing neighborhoods & our wonderful, human-scale
downtown.
And require one parking space per housing unit. Do you really think residents of Luxury condos & apartments
Won’t have at least one SUV or car each to make grocery runs to Costco & Whole Foods?
The affordable housing requirements seem so weak, this ordinance appears to be a giant gift to developers who seek
to maximize profits, not a thoughtful way to preserve what’s great about Bozeman & develop affordable homes,
which we do need.
Please read Scott Boyd’s column in the Chronicle, and scale back this terrible version of the ordinance.
