I am a person, a concerned citizen, who has lived in Bozeman for over 60 years. Ihave witnessed the erosion of neighborhoods, of community spirit with the localhousing projects. I have witnessed how people protesting have been ignored by thecity commission. At this point in time, It makes community sense to do the following:
Vote NO on the "draft" proposals to modify the Affordable Housing Ordinance (AHO).Also repeal the current AHO. We need to begin a public process to rewrite theordinance so it better protects existing neighborhoods while accomplishing the goal ofcreating affordable housing.
