Dear
City of Bozeman Planning Department
I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a development located at 2946 W BabcockStreet (Parcel ID #06079811301267000)within an R-2 zoning district. As a resident of thisarea, I have noticed several issues that appear to conflict with the zoning and planningstandards outlined for R-2 districts.
The primary concerns are as follows:
1. Lack of Guest Parking:
The development does not provide adequate guest parking or enough parking foroccupants, which creates significant inconvenience for residents and their visitors. Thisissue contradicts the intention of R-2 zoning, which typically ensures sufficient parkingavailability for all occupants.
2. Potential Non-Compliance with Zoning Standards:
I am concerned that the development may not fully comply with the R-2 zoningrequirements, particularly in terms of [e.g., parking minimums, lot coverage, densitylimits, etc.].
3. Impact on Neighborhood Quality:
The lack of parking accommodations has led to increased congestion on nearby streets, negatively affecting the quality of life for residents.
I kindly request the following actions:
A review of the development’s compliance with the City of Bozeman’s Unified Development
Code (UDC) and R-2 zoning regulations.
Clarification on whether any variances or exceptions were granted during the approval
process.
Information on the steps the Planning Department is taking to address these concerns and
prevent similar issues in future developments.
To assist with your review, I am happy to provide additional details, photographs, ordocumentation highlighting the challenges caused by these issues. Please let me know if there
are upcoming public meetings or hearings where I can voice these concerns in person.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and any guidance
you can provide on the next steps.
Sincerely,
Robert Halaas-Driscoll2954 West Babcock Street
