I remember not that long ago when building codes wouldn't let you build more than two stories to prevent blocking the view ofthe mountains. These single family neighborhoods do not want a high density, high dollar, high rise with zero parking. This proposed development is less than a block from a publicschool where pick up and drop off are already a nightmare because of the elm building which has zero parking associated with it. If there is a concert, huge busses and equipment floodwhere school busses and parents are trying to bring the kids safely to and from school and it's a miracle we haven't had a fatality. It's only a matter of time that something awful happens to achild if you add a 5 story building containing 111 units down the street with only 30 parking spaces. The proposal doesn't include the units being affordable. Andy Hollern just wants aplace for his migrant workers to live and 350 sq ft at $1675/month won't be something they can afford. This isn't time square, this is Bozeman Montana. Come up with a better plan foraffordable housing that doesn't include ruining our single family neighborhoods. It is not feasible for Bozeman to be a 15 min city. There is no way to get across the valley to workwalking in 10 min when temperatures in January remain sub zero for a month. In addition to letting these high rise projects go through, you add another element to the town whoseinfrastructure wasn't built to handle this type of traffic. Closing roads for two years while a high rise goes up is completely irresponsible. If the developer doesn't have enough room forbuilding materials and equipment on site, it is not fair to the public to have to deal with road closures for two years! The development should have never been approved. Think of yourcitizens, it is our tax dollars at work here and you're doing everything in your power to ruin our town. I strongly suggest an ethics investigation and will pursue that also. Taking developermoney to forgo proper parking, green space, and affordable units is a crime and you all should be punished for it. Karyn Carpenter
