1.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING PRE-INSTALLATION MEETING WITH CITY OF BOZEMAN WATER CONSERVATION DIVISION PRIOR
TO COMMENCING ANY WORK.
2.THE SITE HAS A FUNCTIONAL IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN PLACE. CONNECT NEW IRRIGATION TO THE EXISTING POINT OF CONNECTION &
CONTROLLER. LOCATION OF EXISTING MAINLINE IS UNKNOWN.LOCATE, UTILIZE, & EXPAND EXISTING MAINLINE FOR ADDITIONAL IRRIGATION.
MAINLINE SHOWN IS DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY.
3.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO INFORM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES OR CHANGES NEEDED TO THE IRRIGATION DESIGN. IF

5.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING IRRIGATION AS-BUILTS TO LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AT WITHIN ONE WEEK COMPLETION OF FINAL
COMPLETION INSPECTION.
6.CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY STATIC PRESSURE IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION. IN THE EVENT OF A DISCREPANCY,
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF ANY CHANGES NECESSARY TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED OPERATIONAL
PRESSURE AND FLOW. IF NOTIFICATION IS NOT RECEIVED, CONTRACTOR ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SYSTEM OPERABILITY.
7.PROVIDE PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE UP STREAM OF BACKFOW ASSEMBLY IF PRESSURE EXCEEDS 80 PSI. REDUCE TO 60PSI STATIC
PRESSURE.
8.INSTALLED SYSTEM TO BE FULLY WINTERIZEABLE. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT WITH WINTERIZATION PLAN.
9.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE PLANTING WITH IRRIGATION INSTALLATION.
10.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT THE SITE AND VERIFY CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
11.IRRIGATION PLANS ARE SCHEMATIC REPRESENTATIONS ONLY. PLACE LINES IN A COMMON TRENCH WHENEVER POSSIBLE. FIELD ADJUST LINES
TO AVOID CONFLICT WITH UTILITIES.
12.IRRIGATION IS COORDINATED WITH THE PLANTING PLAN AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS AND IS DESIGNED WITH RECTANGULAR SPACING GIVING
HEAD TO HEAD COVERAGE. COORDINATE IRRIGATION HEAD LAYOUT WITH NEW PLANT MATERIALS, LOCATE SPRAY HEADS 30" FROM BASE OF
TREE. DO NOT ALTER HEAD LOCATION, PIPE LAYOUT, OR VALVE LOCATION WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.
NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IF DISCREPANCIES OCCUR BETWEEN THE PLANS AND FIELD CONDITIONS.
13.ALL COMPONENTS OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM SHALL BE INSTALLED AND PROPERLY ADJUSTED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE HEAD TO HEAD COVERAGE
AND ELIMINATE OVER SPRAY ONTO WALKS, BUILDINGS, PARKING AREAS, ETC.
14.ALL PIPE SIZES INDICATED ARE MINIMUMS. CONTRACTOR MAY NOT DECREASE PIPE SIZE. LARGER PIPE SIZES MAY BE USED AT NO ADDITIONAL
COST TO OWNER. PIPE SIZES INCREASE IN SIZE DOWNSTREAM OF NEXT SPRAY HEAD, AS SHOWN.
15.INSTALL ALL IRRIGATION PIPE AND CONTROL WIRES IN MINIMUM 4" PVC SLEEVE BELOW ALL PAVED SURFACES UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED
ON THE PLANS. INSTALL SLEEVES PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF PAVEMENTS AND PAVEMENT SUB-BASE. WHERE PAVEMENT EXISTS BORE AND
PLACE SLEEVES.
16.COORDINATE IRRIGATION POINTS OF CONNECTION AND LOCATION OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL VALVES WITH LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.
COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH OTHER TRADES, I.E. ELECTRICAL, MASONRY, ETC.
17.CONTRACTOR TO PROGRAM AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER TO ALLOW FOR THE EQUIVALENT OF 3/4" OF WATER PER WEEK FOR MANICURED LAWNS
AND 1" PER WEEK FOR ALL OTHER PLANTINGS, OR PER SITE AND PLANTING NEEDS FOR BEST PLANT HEALTH.
18.ALL PVC PIPES SHALL BE TRENCHED UNLESS PRE-APPROVED TO BE PULLED IN WRITING BY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. POLLY PIPE MAY BE
PULLED. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE OF MAINLINE. PLACE MANUAL DRAIN AT LOW POINTS IN MAINLINE. IDENTIFY LOCATIONS ON AS-BUILTS.
19.USE 45° ELBOWS INSTEAD OF 90° ELBOWS ON ALL MAINLINES 2-1/2" AND LARGER. INSTALL CMU THRUST BLOCKS AT ALL MAINLINE CHANGES IN
DIRECTION FOR PIPE 2" AND LARGER .
20.CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL CONTROLLER AND ACCESSORIES AS REQUIRED. CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH CONTROL WIRES FROM VALVES TO
CONTROLLER. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING 110 VOLT SERVICE FROM EXISTING ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND
