Dear City Commission:
I am a conserned citizen who owns a house in the city limits near down town.I am asking that if you approve #2 (and I hope you don’t) to have a variant with leaving the existing large healthtrees. We are loosing trees that take half a lifetime to grow and provide shade in our city that is growing hotter everyyear because of global warming.
A perfect example are the very large trees on the corner of 7th and west main where Verizon is. When they built thatbuilding a requirement was to design the building around those already very large and healthy trees. Back then over25t years ago the city commission took into account the existing trees and the character of the neighborhoods whengiving out building permits.
