Holland - Reclaim Review of the second Guthrie application! From:Patrick Holland To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]Reclaim Review of the second Guthrie application! Hello Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Commissioners, In order to maintain a consistent scope of authority, and an honest, transparent process, please reclaim your review authority over the second Guthrie application. Homebase Partner's newest proposal to demolish a historic structure reads more like anamendment to their original application (which you reviewed last summer) than a new application. It is appropriate that you should again be the reviewing body. Our NCOD design guidelines clearly state on page 10 the following:"What if I want to demolish, or move, a building on my property?... Generally, if the building has been determined to be historically significant, final authority for the demolition ormovement shall rest with the City Commission." Please do not abdicate your clear responsibility to our community. Thank you, Patrick Holland, MD **** PS: Terry Cunningham, I seldom encourage form letters but what is said is preciselymy sentiments. I feel like the community has little to say with the ongoing development in Bozeman and especially with the Holloran projects. We need to save our historic areas andtheir accompanying history. There needs to be a more gradual transition from one-two story neighborhoods to five story buildings as we are destroying neighborhoods and the dreams ofthose living there. I appreciate you considering my opinion. Thanks to you and the others on thecommission for your time and effort on behalf of our community. Amazing that you do it. ***** Pat Holland
