Delin - The Guthrie Proposal and Bozeman's FutureFrom:jmdelin@bresnan.net To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]The Guthrie Proposal and Bozeman"s Future Date:Tuesday, December 31, 2024 5:27:00 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. We strongly urge you to redeem the review authority over the Guthrie 2 project. It is about time that the Bozeman City Commission does the job that were elected to do. Any City Commission's job should be to help preserve the good things about a city, as well asimprove other things that are detrimental to their city. Your first priority should not be to make sure that the developer's, flocking to this town, meet their bottom line. This seems to bewhat has be happening here for the last eight to ten years. Massive apartment complex's crammed into nice family neighborhoods is not progress or improvement. It is regress and destruction. The Gutherie 2 project is just as intrusive and destructive as the first Gutherie proposal. ForHome Base's, Any Holloran, to come out and say that the scaled down version, with one less story and twenty less apartments will fit in nicely and be way more receptive to theneighborhood is a joke. Four stories with ninety one units will have the exact same destructive effect on this family neighborhood as the first proposal. If you are not going to put put the citizens of town first, or try to protect one of the best thingsthat Bozeman has ever had to offer, nice family neighborhoods, do it yourselves, in a public meeting where the people can see who voted which way, and have their votes explained. There are only so many family neighborhoods left in this town. There are endless places toput endless apartment buildings that not destroying one of the best things this town has ever had to offer. The location of new apartments can be anywhere, with the no- charge, Streamline Bus System, that will take anyone, anywhere in and around the town. Please do your job of protecting the good in our town, and if you are not going to do that, at least do it in a public meeting instead of letting one person make a decision behind closeddoors, without having to explain why. Thank you in advance for doing the right thing. Jeanne and Gary Delin Note: Have any of you ever considered offering the developers on extra - extra deep incentiveto build a Rest Home? These facilities have been disappearing fast, due to the building of so call affordable housing. Help your city out. PLEASE
