In fact it is a form of blight on this neighborhood. Block 104 includes building out Aspen Street (currently a greenspace and path) between Ida and Wallace. It will also close off part of Ida Avenue, connecting the climbing rock park to the property, which entails redirecting traffic around the climbing rock. This change was done without public notice or any deliberation by the City Commission. Giving up park space for more traffic, parking and luxury condos without public notice? This is not acceptable. The $3.66 million in public assistance in the form of TIF funding this project will be receiving is hard to swallow. Multi-million dollar development projects, developed by millionaires, need millions in tax payer funding/deferment to provide luxury condos for millionaires? Sure it's "legal" but this is absurd. The TIF district was not formed for this purpose. Nobody would have agreed to the TIF district if we saw this coming. The TIF district money is now being abused to ruin the very neighborhood it was supposed to improve. I am very much opposed to the Block 104 scheme! Bozeman does not need more vacant luxury condos and luxury v.r.o.b.'s. Especially ones that abuse the TIF district and eliminate park space. Thanks for reading my comments. Sincerely, Matt Stash 516 N. Wallace Ave. Bozeman, MT 59715
