City of Bozeman Planning Department and Transportation Board, I am writing today to express my concerns and frustrations with Application 24-107, Block 104 of The Bozeman Yards Project. There has been no public input from the residents directly affected by permanent re-routing and closing of city streets from this project. The developers and city staff have worked together without the input of the robust and engaged Northeast Neighborhood Association. Furthermore, upon review of the traffic studies for this project, Wallace Works 24-532 and Cloverleaf 24-230, none of these projects take into account the others. The compounded traffic impact of these developments on our residential streets has not been adequately addressed. These changes of traffic patterns will have profound effects on our neighborhood. Many of the streets are only wide enough for 1 vehicle at a time, and are heavily used by bicyclists and pedestrians to connect between Story Mill Park and trails on the south side of town. The increase traffic will create dangerous roads for bicyclists and pedestrians. I implore the planning department to re-evaluate this project, and to work with the localresidents.
