Commissioners, As you consider what historic preservations to keep or to alter, please think about how unique Bozeman is and what part the historic neighborhoods play in that. Do wewant to be Anytown, USA or will we honor our history and the love that residents and tourists have for the older neighborhoods? At a recent HPAB meeting, one of the members of theboard said that our NCOD is the envy of the towns she visits. The NCOD works, and works well. I think the narrative that lots of in-fill will create affordable housing is dead. Emptydensity is all we would get. Most of the old neighborhoods are R2 so with allowed duplexes, townhouses and ADUs there will be a reasonable increase in housing density. No one isoffering horse-carriage tours along 19th and the older tree lined streets are a continual source of pride and enjoyment for all residents. Please keep the NCOD as it is. As Joni Mitchellsaid: "You don't know what you've got 'till it's gone...." Mary Lou Osman
