To City Planning Department:
I am writing in regards to application 23306 regarding development on "5 Range" whichwould entail construction of several very large residential buildings.
Please do no approve this application.
While I understand the need for additional housing in our growing city, this area is not ideal or
appropriate for this proposed development. This type of development would be detrimental tothe agricultural land and farms in that area by creating new challenges related to water, runoff,
sun light exposure, and overcrowding of the space. It also would destroy more of the alreadydwindling wild spaces and natural ecosystems that make this community so special.
Additionally, the amount of traffic generated by such a development would overwhelm and
destroy both Cottonwood and Stucky roads, causing major costs to reconstruct or improvethem. These roads are already buckling under the increasing traffic, as two lane roads without
shoulders. Riding bikes on these roads is already very dangerous and with the dramaticallyincreased traffic related to this proposal, it would become unusable to bikers and pedestrians.
Please reject this application and preserve some of the unique beauty of this community and
land. Respectfully,
