I am compelled to share my concerns for this project. It is imperative that the unintended consequences should be considered before moving forward on this plan. I noticed the application states that the current use of the property is “undeveloped”. I think that is misleading. While this land has not been built upon, it is in use by nature itself, and also provides fertile soil, and should continue to be used as such. Once building begins, we cannot return to nature’s intended use of this land, which currently serves as respite for animals as well as providing fertile soil for growing food. I also noticed there is a farm adjacent to the land in question. Advancing such a huge development project as proposed in application 23306 would have dire effects on the neighboring farm. As a resident in the Gallatin Valley who wishes to preserve the value and health of our land, I would ask that you reconsider the location for this high-density development. I think there are less fertile grounds within the valley that can be developed and would not affect farmers, and we would not lose any any valuable land. Furthermore, there are plenty of ghost-towns in the state of Montana that can be considered for redevelopment rather than destroying nature’s beauty and the overall health and wellbeing of our city (both for humans and nature alike). Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, Jasmine Alberino
