Hello, my name is Anna Van Helden and I am a student here at Montana State University. I recently had the
opportunity to help 4 daughters farm a few weeks ago to help get prepped for winter. When I arrived I immediately
felt a sense of peace. I could see miles and miles of land and all the surrounding Mountain View’s. I made a
comment to the owner May Heriza about how beautiful her property is. And she responded with well we might not
be here in five years. And I said oh no how come? And she mentioned projects happening that’s surrounding their
property. I stopped and looked around and imagined tall buildings blocking all the beautiful land. All the stories and
memories to be made would be gone. I felt really sad and disappointed because the 4 daughters farm is why people
come to Bozeman. To experience an authentic farm with genuine owners. If we keep building up Bozeman there
will be no reason for people to come here anymore. All there will be left is just housing. What are the people
supposed to do when all the activities are gone? Your ruining peoples livelihoods and all their sweat, tears, and
blood is all for nothing. Everywhere I look there are new builds happening and if I know one things for sure I’m not
sticking around to find out how it destroys the beautiful views Bozeman has to offer. All your social media for
Bozeman talks about the views, yeah well news flash there won’t be any news anymore. There’s no space. She
mentioned the road your building on. You add more cars and traffic you add more traffic and collisions.
I highly recommend you rethink your ideas of building up Bozeman. Your taking away its natural beauty, your
taking away the wildlife, your taking away the memories, your taking away why people want to come here in the
first place. Don’t make money off of the land because at some point there will be no land left. And people will leave
because of how ridiculous it has become. Future generations will never know Bozeman like it is now. The history
will be lost for good and I just can’t sit around to watch that happen.
