Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear Sir/ Madam: My family and I are residents of downtown Bozeman. Among the many qualities of the city we love is that there are still open fields and farmlands between developments from various eras across the city. These are both beautiful, giving Bozeman it's characteristic quasi-rural feeling of plenty of open space, and functional. Many of these plots house small working farms that are open to the public for visiting. Our favorite among them all is 4 Daughters' Farm, where my small children and I have been thrilled to pick raspberries and flowers among a beautiful and bucolic setting, amazingly only minutes from downtown. The proposed dense housing development in Range 5 threatens this particular farm, which is so precious to many of us in the community. The experience of attending a fall festival or berry picking at that farm would be, in no exaggerated terms, ruined were it to directly abut a multi-story set of housing units. I have no doubt that eventually the farm would would be unable to attract enough visitors to sustain the lovely events and opportunities it currently offers to the public and might even be shut down entirely, leading to the loss of one of our communities valued family farms producing delightful products and experiences for our town. While I believe the city must accommodate development, allowing the development of the land around Stucky Road, rather than situating it near similarly developed areas or areas without community-oriented farms, would be a loss of one of the things that makes Bozeman so great for many of us. Thank you for your consideration in rejecting the proposal for Range 5. Sincerely, Sonal Tolman
