COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2841
A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ENCOURAGING
THE PERFORMI NG ARTS
CENTER BOARD OF
DI RECTORS TO SELECT A SITE
IN THE
DOWNTOWN AREA FOR THE NEW PERFORMI NG ARTS CENTER.
WHEREAS, the new performing arts center will be an asset to the entire
community, attracting people from throughout the area; and
WHEREAS, the City
of Bozeman encourages the Board of Directors
to
select a site which optimally accommodates the
facility, while being
identified
with the core of Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Bozeman, Montana, that the
City wi II agree to assist, within its
limits of
resources and priorities, the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts Center
in the following:
1. Acquisition of a downtown location for the performing arts
center;
2. Modification of public improvements needed to accommodate
the performing arts center;
3. Exploration of advantageous financing mechanisms
for the
performing arts center;
4. Consideration of
programs that will provide
long-term .
support for the performing arts center;

5. Provide for a mechanism to address adequate parking
for
the performing arts center; and
6. Facilitation of appropriate processes in the siting and the
permitting of this center.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 26th day of August 1991.
