I live at 33 Hoffman Dr, Bozeman Mt 59715 and am so tired of all the garbage from thesereceptacles being strew all over our Woodbrook yards! This is a year round problem but especially now with the bears getting into there garbage! Wehave an outside camera and last night I show a bear. Please help!Babette Truex. 406-580-2989 From:Nicholas Ross To:Alex Newby Cc:Kevin Handelin Subject:RE: [EXTERNAL]Bear and garbage Date:Thursday, November 7, 2024 1:06:59 PM Attachments:image001.pngimage005.png Hi Alex, please include the following response to Commission: “The city of Bozeman does not currently have ordinances that regulate the time a garbage tote may be kept at the curb, nor the code enforcement staff to manage such an ordinance if it were created. Current city development code requires on-site trash storage, however, certain older developments such as the one in question were built before the current code was authorized. These locations can only be served through totes kept at the curb. Bear-resistant totes of the size necessary to serve multi-family developments are not available as an option.” -Nick Nicholas Ross, P.E.
