Minutes May 2024 – approved 2. Understanding Ag in the Triangle • Several listening sessions were held with producers as part of the FLUM. Several themes emerged including water conveyance facility maintenance and access, struggles with adjacent development impeding operations, traffic and the social impacts on producers. Some of these concerns can be addressed through land use, some are information gaps and some require education and behavior change. • The PCC is well positioned to be a convener to develop a communications campaign to support behavior change (similar to Outside Kind ). Consider this on Nov. 12th meeting. • How do we share Code of the West? • How do we get information to people who have questions about ditches? Who do they contact; AGAI, CD, GIS layers? • Should we host a special workshop with committees and boards on how to better support Ag? 3. Gallatin County FLUM • A presentation of the FLUM focused on the Triangle area and the extraterritorial areas. The focus on incentivizing future development to be on water and sewer services or community systems in the Triangle area. Could payback districts be a tool to support infrastructure expansion?
