To Community Development Advisory Board members –
As a longtime homeowner and tree planter on the Northside, I find it unacceptable that avoluntary Heritage Tree Program and UDC-based tree protections are not being considered for
the City’s Historic Preservation Policy and Local Landmark Program (HPPLLP).
I ask the City to include these two topics in the HPPLLP.
Trees in Bozeman’s urban forest are appreciating assets that need to be protected. Maturetrees, especially those planted by early Bozeman residents, are natural features that connect us
to our historical past. As a City, we cannot keep pushing tree protections off and into thefuture.
