Dear Commission,
I am very concerned with public health and urban camping. Currently there are many RV’s parked on Bohart Ln
within feet of the East Gallatin River. They are pouring grey water and perhaps even black water directly into the
creek. This has to stop.
It has now become so popular to live cheaply in an RV that I have been approached by several people to sell my old
RV for that purpose. I know of several people that have given up their apartments to live in RV’s so that they can
save money. The sad thing is that they will have a very hard time getting back into the rental market without current
rental references. And they may freeze to death.
If we are going to subsidize these people and allow them to clutter our public right of way then let’s do a better job
of it and do it right. Make safe parking areas off of the street.
Also you need to allow homeowners to have an out of town visitor park for a couple of nights in front of their own
home.
Sincerely,
Marilee Brown
