Urban Camping Submission to City 10.8.2024.docx Thank you, City Of Bozeman This is an automated message generated by Granicus. I live in an apartment complex where there are 4 streets that come into my complex filled with urban campers. Most of them live in squalor. Many of the vehicles have flat tires, broken windows, and trash all around the perimeter of the vehicles and scattered on the streets. When they do move somewhere else, they leave their trash and any belongings they no longer want instead of being respectful and taking it with them and disposing of it themselves, they leave it for someone else to take care of. They have total disregard for our city and doing the right thing. I've seen cats and dogs left in vehicles with no adults inside the vehicle in the winter when it's 20 degrees. Dogs are tied up or left unattended and running loose. How is any of this acceptable to our city leaders? I've also been told that the city pays towing companies to move campers from one street to another street at my complex. Is this true? I've also been told that there's a prostitution ring on Galloway St. in one of the campers that has all of the windows covered and has been reported to the city, but the camper is still there. How is this even remotely allowed? And how pathetic that the city does nothing to take care of its citizens who feel unsafe with all this illegal activity going on. I'm ashamed of what our city has become and that the city commissioners can't come up with a solution that is a win-win for all of us. Thanks for listening. Kathy Tatum Concerned Citizen
