Hi City Commission,
I have read through the details of Ordinance 2172 – Urban Camping and I am very
concerned about this proposal. I don’t believe this measure goes nearly far enough and
is just going to lead to further enablement of this behavior. Our city streets have been
devastated for too long and something drastic needs to be done. A simple drive through
our town and you can see how these campers trash the landscape. They litter roads all
over the city so no matter where you live you have to deal with this problem. There are
belongings strewn about, people openly using the open land as their personal
restrooms/dumpsters, and no regard for keeping things tidy. Please stop enabling this
behavior and put an end to this madness. Please enact a total ban on camping and clean
up this city’s wonderful streets.
