Dear Bozeman City Commission, as a member of the Bozeman Unhoused Union, I strongly urge the City Commission
to vote no on Ordinance 2172. We want to be a part of creating an ordinance that meets everyone's needs. This
ordinance does not guarantee us the safety or stability that we need. I've lived in Montana since 2008. My daughter
was born in my bedroom in the Rockies. I've been living in my bus in Bozeman since 2020. Throughout the
pandemic, I survived through glass blowing. $25 is 2-3 days of food, or 3 weeks of food for my dog Koda, who has
been with me as my best companion for years. I grew up in Hawaii, and I left because rich people were pushing us
out. Now here in Bozeman, we're facing the same thing. We build the apartments you live in, we do the landscaping
and the welding. We feed you. If I weren't allowed to camp in town I would go on the road, pull off when I needed
to and hope I didn't wake up to someone harassing me. Vote no on Ordinance 2147.
