I'm resubmitting a document that I wrote last fall in defense of my neighborhood. There are now 3 new commissioners, and I would very muchlike this document to make its way to Adrienne and the rest of the consultant team for the Landmark Program please. The people in this neighborhood obviously like what we have and are adding value anddensity from within. Withintrification as one of the Historic Preservation Consultants calls it. I can't help feeling like we should be supported in this work, rather than upzoned forredevelopment. Also wanted to let you know about our most recent BBC blog post about student population distorting rent-burden and poverty-rate statistics. It's live on our website now. And pleasealso read the two previous posts about Cracking the Code. https://www.betterbozemancoalition.org/commentary Our current zoning is not preventing housing creation, and it's not restricting the housingcreated to single-family detached housing either. Our current code is not why housing is unaffordable in Bozeman. Neighborhood Renaissance.pdf Thanks, have a great week! Alison B.
