Hello,
Is there some sort of public comment link for feedback on the median closure at Flanders Milland Oak Street?
I am a resident of Flanders Mill, specifically on Ryun Sun Way. The median closure has
significantly increased traffic on Ryun Sun Way. The segment of roadway where drivers arenow turning is at most 80 yards and typically only used for residents pulling into their homes
but since the closure has become a collector street for people traveling to the high school.Where people used to go no more than 10-15 mph, drivers traveling through are now passing
through at 30-35 mph with no regard to pedestrian traffic.
While now the only issue is the increase of ADT on a small street, in the Winter this street isnot normally plowed. My concern is that accidents and property damage will increase with the
icy road conditions. I would advise the City to look into other options at the Flanders Mill andOak intersection to avoid the increase in traffic on this arterial road that was/is not designed
for this increase in traffic.
