At this point, we asked the applicant to provide engineering with an updated street cross-secon for Westlake, showing the fire department's spacing requirement, and an exhibit showing the extent of the parcular secon (i.e is it next to a park, housing, etc.) The applicant's half-street does not meet the City’s complete street standard a. In order for the applicaon to be deemed adequate the applicant would need to seek a departure for the proposed street secon under, which is granted under the authority of the Director of Engineering and Transporaon (38.200.010.F.3.). Once the materials have been provided, the engineering team was going to forward the request to Nick Ross for review. I have not had the opportunity to talk with Director Ross about the changes to the street secon. My understanding is that you were going to speak with Nick about a resoluon. It sure seems like the simple answer is no parking on the street, but I am not seeing all the angles. As me is of the essence – have you had a minute to talk to Nick? Please let me know what you know. I am happy to jump on a call to resolve. Much appreciated, RJP Robert J.
