I’ve cc’d our Transportation Board Chair for dispersion to her Board members ahead of tonight’s meeting and also will log your email as Public Comment on the matter for future reference. Tonight’s meeting will be in the “work session” format, where the Transportation Board will here a general presentation from staff on Parking Benefit Zones and then the specific request for establishment of a new zone at Gallatin High. They’ll then provide staff with policy-level input on the viability of the request before next steps are taken on a potential action item. Thanks again and talk to you soon, -Nick Nicholas Ross, P.E. Hi Nick and Nic - I'm a homeowner at 978 Auger Ln. that is heavily affected by the high school students parking overflow into the Flanders Mill neighborhood. I would urge you regulate the residential parking by these students in our neighborhood given the following reasons: -Creates a lot of traffic and dangerous driving through an area with many small children (including my 2 and 4 year olds). -There is litter left everyday in the streets and yards. Constantly picking it up. -Open smoking and drug use by some of the students. -We never see any administrators/teachers overseeing the activity. -We have even heard that the school administrators have encouraged parking on our street. Unfortunately, I cannot make the meeting in person tonight but wanted to share my support. I would be happy to chat directly about this issue as it is very important to our family and neighbors. Thanks, Greg Greg Peterson 978 Auger Ln. Bozeman, MT 57918
