I have never in the 55 years of being involved in the Bozeman community seen such a
takeover by outside interests !
Our City was not ready for the big money and lawyers that came in and our City has definitelychanged. We were looked at as small town suckers.
Both physically and how decisions have been made in the past 5 years has really changed
how Bozeman ‘s soul has been sullied.
Our historic neighborhoods are in danger of being taken over by ugly vanilla buildings andeven uglier cheap apartment buildings. There is no enforcement of building codes anymore
and new comers are paving over backyards and cutting huge trees all with the object to makemore money with no sense of place. There are things that define this town that they don’t care
about.
We need to think about climate change and how growth in our arid West will affect ourgrowth. Water from Canyon Ferry is not going to be sustainable. Now is turning Bozeman
into another Big Sky with unaffordable housing.
I am working with a petition drive that addresses Water Adequacy for Development. I believethis is the only way to address out of control development.
