Greetings Commissioners Madgic, Fischer, and Bode, Deputy Mayor Morrison, and Mayor Cunningham, This email is a follow-up to a question I asked during my public comment at the commission work session on Sept 17, 2024. I asked one question at the end of my comments which, unfortunately, was not answered by Chris Saunders or other staff when Mayor Cunningham asked staff if there were any questions or comments from the public comments that they would like to address. My question was: Of the 14 strategies in SB 382 (of which the city had to comply with a minimum of five) are there any that Bozeman is already in compliance with? I have since reread that section of SB382 and believe that the answer to my question is very likely no, we are not currently in compliance with any of the 14 (unless perhaps there is a small area of Bozeman that encourages the development of tiny houses). Since Mayor Cunningham is hosting an affordable housing presentation on Monday at The Ellen and this is related to affordable housing, it would be helpful if he could share the answer to my question and also let us know which five of the 14 strategies the city has chosen to comply with or target and if that decision is final. Thank you, Kathy Marcinko
