Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. I see the commission is now revisiting this issue. I am going to reiterate my feelings that those of us who purchased homes in Bozeman that are in the R-1 zone are not interested in being surrounded by 8 plex’s or Vacation Rentals! We purchased with the knowledge that we would always be surrounded by single family homes and that is why we purchased where we did. Unfortunately when we first heard about the rezoning proposal we researched our initial HOA covenants and are in the process of getting them rewritten and restated so that we can be the building police in our neighborhood. This cannot be what the city commission wanted or intended when researching this issue. Our hand is forced by the fear that the commission will indeed adopt the one size fits all zoning. Our request is that the commission leave current neighborhoods zoned R-1 single family alone and if indeed you see the need for future development for this to be allowed, zone them that way so all owners know what they are getting into.
