Dear Mayor Cunningham, Deputy Mayor Morrison, and Commissioners Bode, Fischer and Madgic,
As a followup to my public comment sent yesterday, I would like to specifically request the UDC Update consider
applying an Affordable Housing Overlay to protect Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH).
Also, in light of recent non-compliance issues I have witnessed and reported related to new developments (e.g., non-
compliant for sale signs, non-compliance related to removing temporary signage), I believe the UDC Update may
need address compliance codes as well. Expectations should be clearly understood and the fee structure for non-
compliance set. It seems like a lot of staff time is spent investigating, remedying, and fielding upset resident emails
when the system/structure, i.e. UDC compliance code itself may streamline and better ensure compliance.
Thanks for listening,
Angie Kociolek
