Greetings Commissioners, Regarding the GAP definition work session tonight, I have the following questions and comments. 1. If a missing path qualifies for several of the definitions, how will it be handled? Does staffthen choose the one that is most convenient for their purposes or prioritization? One Example of such a path - there are many others: Frontage Pathway qualifies as a Linear Gap (between Cherry River and Nelson Meadows and Valley Center); an Area Gap (the whole far North West side of I-90); aNetwork Gap, and has multiple Spot Gaps; and Experiential Gaps (the only way to travel currently is on a road that has no shoulder and there are no other available routes). 2. The elephant in the room. There are no funding sources for most of these projects otherthan highly competitive grants. We have been raising that alarm to you for over 6 years. The $150,000 you have budgeted only qualifies for between the curb projects and will pay foralmost nothing. Without addressing this issue, the GAP analysis will be futile.
