Recently there has been a new addition to the 200 block of north church avenue. It is a
notice that the house at 205 North church is proposing to have the house torn down and
replaced with a new duplex style building. I wish to express my ill feelings towards this. As a
resident of this block, I can tell you that this would only hurt the community. This section of
Church street is already very congested with school and church traffic. This project would take
over a year start to finish and the community simply cant function with that amount of
construction congestion. Additionally, the plans propose to have garages on the back side of the
unit going into the Perkins alley. This alleyway is already impossible to navigate if more than one
care is going down, especially during drop off and pickup.
In summation, this home makeover would not do any good to the community, only cause
headache, while also destroying a beautiful historic home on one of the oldest streets in
bozeman.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Citizen
