HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-03-24 Correspondence - Disability Rights Montana - the Week Without Driving Challenge!Montana is very car dependent. This leads to many people with disabilities being excluded from fully participating in all our communities have to offer. Disability Rights Montana challenges all Montanans, especially candidates running for office, current elected officials, and transportation and city planning employees, to take the Week Without Driving challenge this September 30-October 6 to see what it like to get around Montana without driving. The Week Without Driving is a national event that Disability Rights Montana is bringing to Montana this year for the first time. You can learn more and sign up at the link here. Here are some of the things disabled non-drivers across Montana want you to know about what it is like to live here without driving: Disability Rights Montana protects and advocates for the human, legal, and civil rights of Montanans with disabilities while advancing dignity, equality, and self-determination.
