Hello, If I understand correctly ordinance #2157 states that members of the public who attend commission meetings are not allowed to boo, clap or cheer to show solidarity with a public comment, because it could be viewed as intimidation. We abided by that at the August 6th commission meeting. The BTU’s (Bozeman Tenants United) display at the end of the meeting sounded far more intimidating than a little clapping… There should be some response from the mayor and commission denouncing their actions and all who participated banned from future commission meetings. Not to mention, deputy mayor Joey Morrisons affiliation with this group, which I would think violates a code of ethics, since he has not disclosed his affiliation with them from day one. The rules should apply to all.
