Dear Mike and the City Commissioners, My name is Susan Burrows Dabney and I have lived at 522 S. 6th Ave. for 30 years. With the replacement of our water and sewer pipes on 6th Ave., I had to not only pay for a new sewer hook up and liner from the street to my house, but now also a large SID to be paid bi-annually for the next 20 years with a 2% interest rate tacked on as well. I thought our taxes were supposed to cover infrastructure needs. But now our taxes have skyrocketed, and there is no money to cover repairing the roads we live on? I don’t get it. I understand almost every other homeowner in our city neighborhood has turned down the request to dig up their roads and replace the water and sewer pipes from the early 1900s due to the high cost of having to pay for the repair of the road themselves. Just like us. The amount being charged is huge. I formally request either a large deduction or an increase of 30 years so we pay the amount over 50 years instead of 20 years. With the increase of our taxes and now this huge SID, it creates a difficult scenario for those of us who are retired or on a fixed income. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Susan, Burrows Dabney 522 S 6th Ave Bozeman, MT. 59715 Sent from my iPhone
