HomeMy WebLinkAboutBid - Rebid 7th & Aspen Mixed Use Phase 1 & 2 DemolitionCITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA C A L L F O R B I D S NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, Montana, is accepting sealed bids for: 7th & Aspen Mixed-Use Phase 1 & 2 Demolition Physical sealed Bids for Construction of the 7th & Aspen Mixed-Use Phase 1 & 2 Demolition will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, 121 North Rouse Avenue, Suite 202. PO box 1230, Bozeman, Montana 59771 until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on August, 26th, 2024 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Project Description: Demolition of existing structures, landscaping, and other built site elements located at 654 and 706 North 7th Avenue. Please write the name of the project on the front of the sealed bid. The physical address is: City Clerk’s Office, Suite 202, City Hall, 121 N Rouse Avenue, Bozeman, Montana. The mailing address is: City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 1230, Bozeman, Montana 59771. Physical Bids must be received before 2:00 p.m. on August 26th, 2024. Original physical copies must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to bidders at the address above - no faxed or electronic bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened and read following the close of bids. The Contract Documents and required forms may be obtained at the project link on the city website: www.bozeman.net/departments/administration/city-clerk/bids-rfps-rfqs. There will be an optional Pre-Bid Conference at the project site located at 706 and 654 North 7th Avenue at 4:00 p.m. on August 19th, 2024. Interested CONTRACTORS are encouraged to attend. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. The City of Bozeman is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Discrimination in the performance of any agreement awarded under this project on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability is prohibited. This prohibition shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the awarded entity’s employees and to all subcontracts. As such, each entity submitting under this notice shall include a provision wherein the submitting entity, or entities, affirms in writing it will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability and which also recognizes the eventual contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and that this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the submitting entity’s employees and to all subcontracts. In addition, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169, the entity awarded a contract under this project and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm it will abide by the above and that it has visited the State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work “best practices” website, or equivalent “best practices publication and has read the material. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (125%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids. The City of Bozeman reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
