OSHA regulations may apply to residential work (Search Online). Non-residential (Commercial & 3 or more units Multi-family) • Notify the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (MTDEQ) for all nonresidential demolition or renovation Notification forms are available at asbestos.mt.gov or call the DEQ Asbestos Control Program at (406) 444-5300 or email deqacponline@mt.gov. Forms must be received by DEQ two weeks prior to the start date of the project. For more information on the asbestos inspection requirement, locating an accredited asbestos inspector or other asbestos regulatory requirements go to asbestos.mt.gov or call (406) 444-5300. Notes: 1. Storm water Best Practices (BMPs) are required per the City of Bozeman demolition permit requirements listed below.2. All dumping and disposal shall be in accordance with the City of Bozeman requirements listed below.3. Performance and Surety Bonding is required per City of Bozeman regulations listed below4. Initial demolition phase must be complete by October 1, 20245. Future phase demolition schedule TBD to be coordinated with General Contractor of new vertical construction6. Site shall be left clear of debris and rough grading replaced to approximate existing condition.7. Sidewalks and drive access along 7th avenue and within the within the 7th Avenue right-of-way shall remain and be protected to the extent possible during the course of the initial demolition phase.8. Work within the 7th Avenue street is not included in the scope of work. Only abandoning and protecting water service at curb stop is required. 9. Asbestos testing and abatement is not included in the scope of work.10. Compaction testing of other backfill material testing is not required.11. Salvage, reclamation, and/or recycling of all applicable material is recommended and shall be be credited against the cost of the work. Instruction to Bidders: 1. Physical bids shall be submitted in person or by mail to the City Clerk located City Hall, 121 North Rouse Avenue, Suite 200. PO box 1230, Bozeman, Montana 59771 no later than 2:00 P.M. (local time) on Monday, August 26th, 2024.2. Bids Shall be sealed (in an envelope) and the name of the project must be written on the front of the sealed bid. In the case addenda are issued, an acknowledgement of addenda must be written on the (envelope).3. Bid documents shall include original copies, inclusive of "wet" seals and signatures where applicable. 4. Bids shall include, at a minimum, the following: A. Lump Sum bid for the scope of services listed herein B. Signed non-discrimination & affirmation sheet provided herein C. Certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond (10% of contract amount) payable to the City of Bozeman D. Approved performance bond ($125% of contract amount) E. Approved Material & Labor bond (125% of contract amount) E. Evidence of registration with the MT Department of Labor, including contract number F. Certificate(s) of insurance5. Bidders are encouraged to attend the optional pre-bid conference on Monday, July 19th at 4:00 P.M. (local time) located at 654 North 7th Avenue, Bozeman, Montana 59715 (the jobsite location.)6.
