I’m emailing my public comments for Tues 8/6 meeting.
Please remove G12 & G15. Remove Commission Priorities as these have not been presented to the public nor has
there been any public discourse regarding these. These types of actions have been taken in the past and ERODE
PUBLIC TRUST in this process.
BAN THE STREET CAMPING. No permits, no designated sights. If you can’t afford to live in Bozeman, you can’t
afford it. We had to move away for 10 years before we could afford to live here. The public camping is dangerous,
filthy, and attracts vagrants that have addiction and sex offender issues as there is no accountability. A $25 fine after
3 warnings is a joke. It’s disgusting to see what has happened over the past 4 decades. The city is way too lenient
and we wouldn’t have this problem if they hadn’t changed the approach to homeless beggars on the street.
I have had many dangerous encounters with drunk and or wasted homeless downtown or at gas stations during
daylight hours. It’s worries me for the safety of our young and more vulnerable residents.
It’s a serious CONFLICT OF INTEREST that DM Morrison has a connection to Tenants United. What’s that all
about??
I’m so disappointed in this commission and like many longtime residents, I’m fed up and ready to sell my property
because I do not like contributing my hard earned tax dollars to this corrupt mess. No wonder the rest of MT shakes
their head and laughs whenever Bozeman is mentioned. It does not align with the values of this state. It’s not a
progressive success it’s simply a mess and a disgrace.
What we need is law & order and a safe community not pandering and limping along towards the “Liberal Agenda”.
