Commissioners, I read in the paper this morning that there is consideration of designatingSourdough Canyon a trap free zone. If this is within the power of the City Commission to establish or influence, I support this policy. Separation between heavy, dog-centric recreation zones and trappingzones seems like a common sense response to increasing recreational use of Sourdough Canyon. As Sourdough Canyon use has grown in proportion to Bozeman's population, I've noted a meaningful increase in user trails branching off of the main road, reflecting an increasing number of users(and their dogs) traveling beyond the primary corridor. Candidly, I'm not a fan of trapping (which seems to me like a cruel way to kill animals), but if there is a place for trapping, it's not along the flanks ofone of Bozeman's most popular recreation destinations. Thanks for your consideration, Mark Egge 1548 S Grand Ave Bozeman, MT 59715
